Born in Casper, Wyoming and raised in Loveland, Colorado, Emily attended Colorado State University, where she worked as a resident assistant and admissions ambassador, spreading her Ram Pride. After graduating with a degree in Chemical & Biological Engineering, she decided to try new life paths, working notably as a ropes course guide in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and a zip line guide in rural Montana.
After several years of professional experimentation, Emily decided it was time to invest in her artistic abilities and go back to school. Circumstance had lead her to Iowa, where she attended Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC), majoring in graphic design. Dual internships with McClure’s marketing team and DMACC Marketing entrusted her with valuable on-the-job marketing skills, and she was added full-time to the Placemaking team in August 2018. She assists the team by creating branding graphics for various communities, wayfinding signage, and marketing plans.
Emily’s passions include logo creation, live illustrating/graphic recording, web design, and formatting beautiful documents in InDesign. She now lives in Denver, Colorado where she takes advantage of the multitude of concert venues on the weekends.
